Charlotte, NC

10:36 AM

I made it back to Charlotte yesterday in no time and made my way to the library. I got out my computer and a book and killed some time in a free and productive way. My cousin works at this library but I didn’t say anything to him until I left. My attention span runs in weird stages. I read for a few minutes and then my mind wandered to the trip and what was next. I turned on my CPU, but it was too loud for me to type much on it. You don’t want to be that guy at the library. I was there for about an hour or so and said hello/goodbye to Colin and made my way over to his house pre-Charlotte-4PM-I85-traffic.

Kim and Jamie were there and I brought in the groceries I had gotten for dinner. It was a special treat tonight as Colin was preparing chicken curry. I wasn’t that adventuorous as an eater until I moved to Charlotte and in with Colin and Kim. They eat some good stuff and the curry was one of my favorites. There is a story of me eating a helping of curry so big on the plate that after words of no way, I finished it off. It was either the mass overflow of food or the glass of wine we had, but I immediately laid down and fell asleep. It was a while ago, but that is what the curry made me think of.

I was supposed to go to south Charlotte after dinner, but again, the curry and the wine kept me incapable of going anywhere. We ate (it was way spicy) and had a good time. Colin and I stepped in the garage for some air when their neighbors called us over. I hadn’t been to BBG in a long time, so I went over and caught up with them. Dave, Netter, T, and Jessie were there watching the end of the Bobcats first NBA game. It was good to see them.

I went back across the street and they popped in a movie. The lights went down and I immediately passed out on the floor. All of the driving and visiting caught up with me. I woke up at 12:45 on the floor. I missed Taking Lives.

Today I got up at about 8 and did my computer stuff for a while. I’m going to meet my friend Mike and his son Jake for lunch. He and I go way back to high school sports. He moved to Charlotte a little before me. The pictures of the wedding in Vegas are of he and Krista’s wedding. She’s out of town in Rochester.

So I’ll shut her down, hang with Jamie for a few, and head out to lunch.
