I have found a drug that takes you to different states of mind and feeling. It’s something that is available in your house, in any city, in the suburbs, and in any downtown. I just reupped for some this week.

It had been many months since I had a steady fix of it. I can’t describe how it good it felt to finally go in and tell the dealer I was committing to them. I joined the YMCA on Tuesday.

Today I write feeling better than I have in a while. There is something about a sweat and some strain on your muscles. It does the mind and soul good. You can’t control it, but once you get off the couch and get into the gym, your body takes over.

We were not made to sit in an office for 10 hours and then come home and sit in front of the TV. We were made to be active. I’ve been sitting in front of this computer and the TV for too long. When I was On the Road I was active, always doing and seeing things. Since I’ve been home, I’ve been stagnant and it has been wearing on me. The weather has something to do with it too. When it is 18 degrees, it is hard to be motivated to go out and sweat. But, after tax time, I decided I would spend some money and join a gym.
