7:39 AM

I am up and at it early today. A hectic and fun two weeks concluded today with a 4:30 AM wake up call to take my brother, sister in law, and nieces to the airport back to Memphis. I’ve slept in a bed only twice since June 23 and am feeling the effects. But, the day is here and we move forward. My stomach wheezes and churns as we had a clam bake last night. 5 dozen in my belly mixed with chicken, corn and salt potatoes. You have to love the summer.

I am not sure if I said this from the Adirondacks, but as we hiked up Cascade Mountain, a map and hiking trail list was placed under our windshield. It wasn’t a treasure map or the first episode of a new reality TV show, it was someone’s personal hiking history dating back to 1948. A very cool thing, but one that we decided should be returned to the rightful owner. I mailed the map and list to the Lake Placid News (their newspaper) today with the hopes they can find the creator. Should be interesting to see how that shakes out. I know that if I had a history of something dating back 58 years, I’d want it back.

My week is a short one. Back to the consulting on Tuesday and then off to Charlotte on Friday.
