The tank is pretty low right now. I’ve been running at full speed most of the week and it’s catching up. I just got back from the family reunion. It was fun, but I was not as into it as I would’ve been. For as tired as I was, I still managed to pull a 24 hour bender. I woke up for golf yesterday at 5 AM. I went to bed last night at 5:30 AM. Ouch.
After dinner and the party for my dad, The Family went out. It was myself, Caytie, Bryan, Morgan, and Kyle. We went to a bar that was pretty quiet and had a few. A few friends met us out as well. This was my last night to go out. I’m off to Dave’s cottage, which I have not scene, momentarily. We didn’t get out until 10:30, but we made up for the lost time. We all shared in buying drinks. Kyle treated me to a shot, which I try to avoid, but when your cousin buys you one you take it. He and I had some Southern Comfort shots in the past during our few times out. He said, “Here, it’s SoCo Lime.” I like these. I took the shot. Tequila!!! Nasty. No salt. No chaser. And it was early so I tasted it. But, I took it, we had a laugh, and was actually energized by it.
We hit a couple of spots, ran into some other people and as I said stayed up way too late. I had to be up at 9:30 to get ready for the reunion, which was two hours south of here. So here I was, way overtired, a bit hungover, and had to sit in the car for a while. But, I sucked it up, had a good time, and saw Glenn and Ginny from Jacksonville. It was cool to see them. I hadn’t seen any of the people that I’ve stayed with on the trip yet. We had a good time catching up and telling them where I’ve been. It was good for them to tell my parents I was invited back anytime.
So it’s off to Dave’s. I’m sure I’ll have a beer or two. All this catching up will wear you out, but it’s fun as anything. Later.
