Princeton, NJ

11:30 AM

After an exhausting two and half days in NYC, I’m back near Princeton typing at the Kinko’s. They want to charge .15 per minute here for the Internet. A little steep in my eyes. But here I am, feeling proud of my time in the Big Apple. I will admit I was drained physically and mentally from my time there, and went to bed near 10 last night. There is so much to do and see and I tried to do it all.

I think all tourists are intimidated by going to the city. I had been there a couple of times but I had always had a tour guide. This time I was on my own. Joe showed me the subway system on Sunday night, he gave me a tour book with maps, and I bought my Metro pass and carried on my way. There were some interesting times and stories (handwritten journal entries from NYC will be inputed soon). But all in all, I feel like I held my own. It gives you a strong sense of accomplishment to overcome the fear that NY has. Once you do it, you can see all that NY has to offer. Depending on what happens with me (I have no idea), it could be a cool place to live. I would guess it would be short term and I would need a significant boost of income. We’ll see.

So now I am at Kinko’s. My CPU seems to be working well. I haven’t delved too far into what was lost, but I am guessing I am better off than most that get a new hard drive. Again, my boys at Comp USA took care of me well.

Now I’m planning on the rest of my schedule. Connecticut, Martha’s Vineyard, Boston, and Maine are all in there. Dates will be determined. Rhode Island has been pushed back to a later date. A lot to do.

But my mind has cleared from the NYC experience. My legs still are a bit sore from all of the walking. But my self is strong as I came, I saw, and I kicked some butt in NYC.

Time to make a few calls and type away.
