Memphis, TN

Time to wrap up the Memphis leg of the journey. Today was spent running errands and taking acre of the girls. Brad was off to Tampa for work, so it was Season and her friend Colin. She came over to watch Hattie while Season took Hope to gymnastics.

I’m all in for Vegas. I went to the airport this morning to use my voucher that I picked up the day I met Elizabeth Dole. Without that voucher, I couldn’t go. But, I’ll be on my way on Thursday. I’m hoping to do an interview or two there. I have a call in to the manager to a couple of the dance clubs there.

I went jogging for the first time in months this morning. I used to jog all the time, but my legs decided they didn’t like it. Today they were fine. I love to run in the humidity. I don’t run for time or distance. I run for sweat. I think I ran for about 25 minutes. I broke a good sweat. I did some pushups. I am ripped like an Adonis.

I got my ticket to Vegas. I checked the odds for the U.S. Open today. I think it will be fun to put a little on a few mid to long shots. This will be a cheap, fun bet. If my guys make the cut, I will have $10 take me for four days of golf watching. I also hope the Lakers win tomorrow so I can watch Game 6 in Vegas.

I am talking about Vegas a lot. Well, I turned 21 in Vegas. I have been there to see Jordan beat the Sonics and the Jazz in the finals. I have had some fun times and some low times in the city of lights. The wedding should be great. I’ll be seeing people from Charlotte and Rochester there. I am planning on not doing too much gambling. I hope I can convince some people to go see the Hoover Dam. As many times as I’ve been to Vegas, I’ve never been to a show. Maybe I’ll try that, but probably not.

It’s going to be sad to leave the girls, but it is a little easier because they will be in Rochester for 4th of July. I drive to Cincy tomorrow. I am staying at some family friends. They have a girl my same age. Our mom’s hung out all the time when we were kids. I will see all of their family there. I’m looking forward to that. I hope the roads are clear and skies blue tomorrow.

Time to pack and get ready for an early alarm.
