Here we are, Saturday morning. A bit sore after revisiting the gym yesterday. My dad and I are getting ready to go to Addison, NY for a family reunion. This is on my grandmother’s side, the Riffle reunion. My mom isn’t going because a friend of theirs is getting married today. Caytie and Bryan are off to Pittsburgh for the Pirates and Mets games today and tomorrow. B is a Mets guy.
The reunion is set up by my hosts in Jacksonville, Glenn and Ginny. It will be good to see them again. It is kind of sad that I know one person won’t be there. I had only met him twice in my life, but he is one of the few people I’ve met who went to the same college I did. Going to Arkansas Little Rock back in his day was a big deal. He played basketball for us. He was around 75 when he passed this year. But he stood out for me because of the alma mater.
My dad and I will make the 2 hour drive together. That will be fun. I hope I can nap a little.
After the reunion Jackie and Paul, the wedding at the planetarium, are having a birthday (hers) and housewarming party. It is a party day.
I better hit the shower so my dad doesn’t pace and get all stressed out that we’ll be late. We leave at 10:45.
