Please, make them stop! Only a week to go until the web, TV and radio waves are cleared of the political fodder that continues to ramp up in frequency and foolishness. Attack, attack, attack. How about detail who you are and what you’re about in comparison to your opponent?
The sad part is that type of advertising probably doesn’t work. An interview subject of political note told me that for our democratic system to truly work, we need an educated electorate. I am an educated person, but I couldn’t go into detail on specific candidates in my area. And I now the large percentage are in the same boat as me. I think that is why the candidates go for such hard hitting, personal attacks. We’ll remember the bad about the other when we go to the booth or whatever the voting machine is this year.
It will be interesting to see what happens. Red? or Blue?
