Strongsville, OH

The Angel House continues to get better. I need to clarify from yesterday that it is a sweat lodge. Google it. I have to try it.

I just spent an hour talking with Chris, a guy I could spend hours talking to. He helped me figure out some things about me that I hadn’t really looked at before. Some of my talents. Some of my reasons for me being here.

Now I type with the NFL opener on the TV. The day was another jam packed one. I hit the road at 8 AM toward Kent State. 71 to 80 to 43 and I was there. There was a little rain. The Career Services department treated me great. I got a guided tour of the campus. I went to the historical area. I never realized how huge Kent State is. 30,00 students cause for a sprawling campus. She showed me all over the place. The fashion building is beautiful. Ah, and I spoke to a class. Career Exploration is a class I never took but wish I did. The students were talking about what success is. I shared a few of my experiences with them. I could tell some zoned in and got it. Others not so much. Maybe that is what it’s like as a teacher, you reach whose ears are open. I stopped and saw one of my new brother’s friends who manages the hockey arena. From there I went to the University of Akron and met with a student who is part of the performance network. It looks like I may come back and speak to the Greek organizations. That will be cool and I can tap into my Kappa Sigma experiences in LR. The two campuses are quite different. Kent is a rural one and Akron in the city. I love the learning vibe of any campus.

Now I get ready for bed and prepare for a big Friday.
