As much as it pains me to type it, summer and fall are over in Rochester. The first snow of the season fell today. Not a lot, nothing stuck. The white flakes fell from the sky for only 180 seconds, but it was there none the less. A warning that you better get out of the house and outdoors while you can. A warning that deer season is approaching or already here (I’m not a hunter, so I don’t know. I did sit next to guys at breakfast last week who were going to put deer stands up). A warning of what is to come; Cold. Time to shift the closet from short sleeve to long. Time to dust off the winter coats and hats. Time for some beef stew…
