The oatmeal is in the sink, the TV is tuned to CNN, and my eyes are still recovering from trying to stay up and see a winner last night. I’m glad I turned it off. I’m sitting in a new leather chair at my old roommate’s house.

It looks like a Bush W. I will say Kerry fought hard. From what I’ve seen and heard, it would be incredible for Kerry to pull Ohio out.

Regardless of who wins, it was incredible to see people so passionate about their choices. I’ve never seen people aged 35 and below so fired up about government. I will say most of the young people I’ve met across the country were for Kerry. I’m sure there is disappointment.

My question is now what? It will be interesting to see what happens in the coming months.

It was worth the 12 hour drive to vote. Long line or not, I needed to take part.

I’ll be hitting the road shortly to see my old boss in Greensboro and then off to Raleigh to visit with an old friend from high school. He and his wife just had a baby boy.

Stay tuned.
