Charlotte, NC 11:35 AM Up and to it this morning. It feels good to not have to drive multiple hours for a few days. I was driving Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday of last week. I’ve been run down. I miss my Charlotte. People have gotten scattered in location and group, but the city still calls me. I got in from Atlanta Saturday at about 3. Atlanta, GA 3:06 PM I just got back to Kevin’s place after my photo shoot for Worthwhile. We shot down on the Chattahoochee River. Cool shots. I then navigated to downtown Atlanta where I had lunch with the editor of the magazine. Very cool guy. Former big dog at Wall Street Journal. Great Thai food. Curry beef for me. It was great for me talk in depth with someone who’s profession is very similar to what mine is. We talked about a wide range of topics like work and life and of course the search for passion. Asheville, NC 12:52 AM I just got back from seeing a band, My Morning Jacket, at The Orange Peel, a famous local place where all of the bands come in Asheville. Since I’d been in Charlotte living, I knew of the Peel and wanted to check it out. I wasn’t that familiar with the band, but they rocked it and mixed in some mellow stuff. The Peel was cool, a big open warehouse type thing with a bar on the left and the stage in the middle. I love the mix of Asheville. There were all types of people in there in terms of age to look. Asheville, NC 1:07 AM This will be short. Way tired. Have a 7 AM wake up call and back to the photos at 8:30. Crazy day. Made the drive from Morgantown, WV to Asheville, NC. Over 400 miles. Nice day for driving, a little overcast so it wasn’t too hot and no need for AC most of the way. Morgantown, WV 8:11 AM Running late as usual. Goal was to leave by 8, but here I am typing. At least I’m showered and shaved. Time to load the car and head south to NC. I must say the hotel thing is pretty nice. It’s even better when it’s paid for. Hopefully they have a little continental waiting for me. I’m going to ask about a stereo shop for the install of my GPS. If there isn’t one or it isn’t open, I‘ll take care of that in Asheville.
